Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 0.90% or 0.45 points to trade at 50.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 0.88% or 0.23 points to end at 26.43 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.73% or 0.080 points to 11.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 3.23% or 0.2950 points to trade at 8.8350 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 1.99% or 0.46 points to end at 22.65 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 1.32% or 0.085 points to 6.345.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 66 to 60 and 26 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.20% or 0.65 to $54.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.64% or 0.79 to hit $49.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 6.18 to trade at $1326.52 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.1883, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8999.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 92.46.
