Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 1.55% or 0.53 points to trade at 34.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 0.61% or 0.16 points to end at 26.43 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.43% or 0.22 points to 50.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which fell 1.52% or 0.65 points to trade at 42.09 at the close. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.25% or 0.105 points to end at 8.300 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 0.88% or 0.0500 points to 5.6640.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 73 to 59 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.43% or 0.22 to 50.82.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.43% or 0.32 to $74.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.36% or 0.23 to hit $64.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 6.10 to trade at $1303.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1715, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.8755.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 93.86.
