Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 6.43% or 0.220 points to trade at 3.640 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.24% or 0.0830 points to end at 3.7930 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.23% or 0.82 points to 37.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 5.62% or 0.435 points to trade at 7.300 at the close. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) declined 2.91% or 1.50 points to end at 50.12 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was down 2.42% or 1.76 points to 71.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 77 to 77 and 10 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 3.42% or 2.58 to $72.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.76% or 1.80 to hit $63.51 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.81% or 21.90 to trade at $1234.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.72% to 1.1393, while EUR/GBP fell 1.08% to 0.8782.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.71% at 96.21.
