Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 3.16% or 1.60 points to trade at 52.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.19% or 0.31 points to end at 26.29 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 0.86% or 0.15 points to 17.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 3.99% or 1.29 points to trade at 31.03 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.08% or 0.135 points to end at 6.340 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was down 1.53% or 0.200 points to 12.860.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 86 to 57 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; rising 3.16% or 1.60 to 52.20. Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.99% or 1.29 to 31.03.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.34% or 0.21 to $62.32 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.37% or 0.21 to hit $57.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 9.46 to trade at $1272.64 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1888, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8816.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 93.06.
