Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO), which rose 2.78% or 0.4600 points to trade at 17.0000 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 2.20% or 1.06 points to end at 49.20 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.04% or 0.78 points to 75.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 3.53% or 0.2000 points to trade at 5.4600 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.66% or 0.178 points to end at 6.504 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was down 1.60% or 0.230 points to 14.165.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 94 to 54 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; up 1.04% or 0.78 to 75.92.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.37% or 0.27 to $72.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.33% or 0.22 to hit $67.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.50 to trade at $1202.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.1339, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8919.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 96.60.
