Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 5.84% or 1.01 points to trade at 18.29 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.47% or 1.36 points to end at 56.46 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.76% or 0.080 points to 10.540 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 3.13% or 0.2500 points to trade at 7.7300 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 2.69% or 1.37 points to end at 49.58 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 1.65% or 0.77 points to 45.79.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 72 to 70 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Valmt (HE:VALMT) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.84% or 1.01 to 18.29. Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; up 2.47% or 1.36 to 56.46.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.87% or 0.60 to $69.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.49% or 0.95 to hit $64.52 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 3.10 to trade at $1322.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.76% to 1.2038, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.8889.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 91.64.
