Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.62% or 1.06 points to trade at 66.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 1.53% or 0.130 points to end at 8.620 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 0.92% or 0.18 points to 19.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 6.29% or 2.12 points to trade at 31.57 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 3.33% or 0.86 points to end at 25.00 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 0.96% or 0.078 points to 8.012.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 71 to 64 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.29% or 2.12 to 31.57. Shares in Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 0.92% or 0.18 to 19.73.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 3.13% or 2.34 to $77.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 3.17% or 2.19 to hit $71.25 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1312.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.1848, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8740.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 92.92.
