Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 0.95% or 0.33 points to trade at 35.10 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 0.83% or 0.19 points to end at 23.00 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 0.47% or 0.07 points to 14.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which fell 1.53% or 0.80 points to trade at 51.45 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 1.48% or 0.61 points to end at 40.63 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was down 1.16% or 0.31 points to 26.44.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 71 to 70 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.73% or 0.91 to $51.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.66% or 1.29 to hit $47.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.56 to trade at $1293.14 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1806, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.9227.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.17.
