Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which rose 1.35% or 0.35 points to trade at 26.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 1.09% or 0.18 points to end at 16.67 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 1.03% or 0.19 points to 18.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 1.77% or 0.62 points to trade at 34.48 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) declined 1.59% or 0.63 points to end at 38.99 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 1.15% or 0.65 points to 56.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 72 to 67 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.77% or 0.62 to 34.48. Shares in Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.03% or 0.19 to 18.69.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.22% or 0.78 to $64.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.05% or 0.60 to hit $57.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 10.34 to trade at $1286.14 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1590, while EUR/GBP rose 0.53% to 0.8848.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 94.79.
