Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.43% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V), which rose 4.49% or 1.31 points to trade at 30.46 at the close. Meanwhile, KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) added 3.78% or 1.45 points to end at 39.84 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HEL:WRT1V) was up 3.47% or 1.48 points to 44.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HEL:FUM1V), which fell 0.62% or 0.10 points to trade at 15.91 at the close. YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) declined 0.14% or 0.01 points to end at 7.00 and Kesko Oyj B (HEL:KESBV) was down 0.06% or 0.02 points to 34.61.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 112 to 57 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.85% or 0.48 to $56.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.29% or 0.66 to hit $50.55 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 2.03% or 23.00 to trade at $1108.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.0854, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.6963.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 97.98.
