Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 2.82%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 6.12% or 0.345 points to trade at 5.980 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 6.05% or 4.14 points to end at 72.54 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 5.50% or 0.1930 points to 3.7020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 0.32% or 0.12 points to trade at 36.81 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 0.08% or 0.03 points to end at 38.46 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.77% or 0.38 points to 49.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 103 to 51 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.13% or 0.68 to $60.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.95% or 0.49 to hit $52.14 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 2.95 to trade at $1250.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.1366, while EUR/GBP fell 0.78% to 0.8992.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 97.002.
