Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Utilities and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 2.39%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 5.71% or 1.94 points to trade at 35.94 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 5.59% or 0.186 points to end at 3.511 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 5.47% or 1.81 points to 34.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which rose 0.56% or 0.22 points to trade at 39.65 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 0.74% or 0.030 points to end at 4.099 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.97% or 0.50 points to 51.96.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 106 to 47 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 2.72% or 1.62 to $61.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.12% or 1.59 to hit $52.52 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.08% or 13.20 to trade at $1239.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.38% to 1.1360, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.8911.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 96.810.
