Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.96%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.90% or 0.344 points to trade at 7.362 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) added 4.78% or 0.32 points to end at 6.91 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 4.74% or 2.58 points to 57.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 10.50% or 3.21 points to trade at 27.35 at the close. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 0.85% or 0.38 points to end at 44.30 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 0.34% or 0.06 points to 17.34.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 128 to 26 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) fell to 52-week lows; falling 10.50% or 3.21 to 27.35.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 2.15% or 1.44 to $65.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.73% or 1.73 to hit $61.66 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.67% or 8.90 to trade at $1320.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.85% to 1.2271, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8848.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.70% at 90.15.
