Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.73%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 6.47% or 0.188 points to trade at 3.093 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 4.25% or 0.1430 points to end at 3.5090 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 3.55% or 0.176 points to 5.128 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB), which fell 0.71% or 0.35 points to trade at 49.22 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 0.13% or 0.04 points to end at 30.30 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 0.13% or 0.05 points to 38.43.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 56 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) fell to 52-week lows; falling 0.13% or 0.04 to 30.30.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.42% or 0.25 to $60.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.04% or 0.53 to hit $51.53 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1249.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.1309, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.9032.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 97.477.
