Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.47%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 3.35% or 0.430 points to trade at 13.280 at the close. Meanwhile, Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 3.24% or 0.118 points to end at 3.760 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 3.16% or 1.12 points to 36.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 2.00% or 0.53 points to trade at 26.01 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 0.71% or 0.26 points to end at 36.24 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was down 0.57% or 0.18 points to 31.49.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 106 to 43 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) fell to 3-years lows; down 2.00% or 0.53 to 26.01.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.78% or 0.49 to $63.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.20% or 0.71 to hit $59.91 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.86% or 11.30 to trade at $1327.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.2267, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.8879.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 90.17.
