Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.45%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 11.40% or 0.350 points to trade at 3.420 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 6.99% or 1.62 points to end at 24.79 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 5.64% or 1.96 points to 36.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 10.00% or 3.12 points to trade at 28.08 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 2.19% or 0.68 points to end at 30.40 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was down 0.13% or 0.010 points to 7.698.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 101 to 48 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) fell to 3-years lows; losing 10.00% or 3.12 to 28.08.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.28% or 0.21 to $76.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.18% or 0.12 to hit $66.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 5.80 to trade at $1216.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.1315, while EUR/GBP fell 0.64% to 0.8871.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 96.88.
