Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.43% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.66% or 0.2110 points to trade at 3.9380 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 3.57% or 0.131 points to end at 3.799 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 3.30% or 1.19 points to 37.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which fell 0.21% or 0.03 points to trade at 14.53 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 0.16% or 0.010 points to end at 6.440 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was up 0.38% or 0.02 points to 5.22.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 90 to 56 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.59% or 0.37 to $62.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.34% or 0.73 to hit $53.83 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1318.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1409, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8809.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 95.803.
