Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.21%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which rose 5.41% or 4.70 points to trade at 91.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 5.10% or 3.20 points to end at 65.95 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 5.08% or 2.38 points to 49.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which fell 2.39% or 1.20 points to trade at 48.92 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.47% or 0.21 points to end at 14.08 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 0.34% or 0.16 points to 47.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 121 to 50 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.10% or 3.20 to 65.95. Shares in Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) rose to all time highs; up 5.08% or 2.38 to 49.35.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.93% or 1.42 to $75.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.19% or 1.53 to hit $71.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.61% or 15.75 to trade at $2,614.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 100.43.
