Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.16%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 2.87% or 1.60 points to trade at 57.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 2.16% or 1.07 points to end at 50.65 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 2.08% or 0.32 points to 15.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 0.10% or 0.04 points to trade at 41.59 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 0.04% or 0.01 points to end at 27.01 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 0.05% or 0.02 points to 36.78.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 36 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.73% or 0.90 to $51.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.52% or 0.74 to hit $48.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.13 to trade at $1290.87 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.1787, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.9080.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 93.25.
