Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.09% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 2.04% or 0.130 points to trade at 6.495 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.98% or 0.099 points to end at 5.095 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 1.90% or 0.42 points to 22.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which fell 3.90% or 0.28 points to trade at 7.03 at the close. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 0.73% or 0.080 points to end at 10.830 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was down 0.34% or 0.14 points to 41.47.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 92 to 43 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $53.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.43% or 0.68 to hit $48.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.01% or 13.60 to trade at $1337.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.1963, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.9076.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 91.83.
