Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which rose 2.44% or 0.63 points to trade at 26.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 2.41% or 0.55 points to end at 23.35 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 2.40% or 0.240 points to 10.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which fell 5.93% or 1.77 points to trade at 28.08 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 0.08% or 0.005 points to end at 6.595 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.03% or 0.01 points to 30.75.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 84 to 65 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.44% or 0.63 to 26.42.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.24% or 0.15 to $63.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.68% or 0.39 to hit $56.94 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 8.50 to trade at $1266.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.44% to 1.1801, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8807.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 93.11.
