Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 6.54% or 0.580 points to trade at 9.445 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 4.76% or 0.231 points to end at 5.088 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 2.45% or 0.81 points to 33.89 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which fell 2.91% or 0.15 points to trade at 5.01 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 2.05% or 0.1160 points to end at 5.5460 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was down 0.51% or 0.17 points to 32.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 81 to 56 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.91% or 0.15 to 5.01.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.66% or 1.22 to $74.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.97% or 1.35 to hit $69.78 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1312.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.39% to 1.1942, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8827.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 92.51.
