Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.00% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.79% or 0.142 points to trade at 5.230 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.58% or 0.202 points to end at 8.040 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was up 2.40% or 0.12 points to 5.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 2.05% or 1.36 points to trade at 64.94 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 0.60% or 0.15 points to end at 24.85 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 0.39% or 0.10 points to 25.76.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 82 to 57 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.63% or 1.22 to $76.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.20% or 0.84 to hit $70.56 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1314.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1933, while EUR/GBP fell 0.51% to 0.8796.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 92.54.
