Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.89% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which rose 2.73% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 2.52% or 0.45 points to end at 18.07 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 2.09% or 0.69 points to 33.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which fell 0.63% or 0.10 points to trade at 15.89 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) declined 0.38% or 0.17 points to end at 44.18 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was down 0.15% or 0.05 points to 34.43.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 94 to 50 and 12 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 2.28% or 1.74 to $74.43 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.84% or 2.01 to hit $68.72 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1314.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1884, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8768.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 92.84.
