Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB), which rose 3.23% or 1.66 points to trade at 53.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 3.17% or 0.94 points to end at 30.58 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 1.76% or 0.090 points to 5.214 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which fell 0.98% or 0.20 points to trade at 20.26 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 0.55% or 0.40 points to end at 72.16 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 0.45% or 0.0180 points to 3.9480.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 84 to 63 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.10% or 0.07 to $72.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.69% or 0.43 to hit $61.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 5.60 to trade at $1229.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.1463, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8717.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 95.75.
