Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 3.50% or 0.97 points to trade at 28.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.42% or 0.1760 points to end at 5.3280 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 2.76% or 0.95 points to 35.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which fell 1.78% or 0.49 points to trade at 27.02 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIETO) declined 0.86% or 0.24 points to end at 27.76 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was down 0.10% or 0.02 points to 20.44.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 107 to 39 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.96% or 1.52 to $79.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.98% or 0.72 to hit $74.17 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1254.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.95% to 1.1678, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8849.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.76% at 94.28.
