Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 7.88% or 0.55 points to trade at 7.53 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.41% or 0.2600 points to end at 7.8900 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 2.19% or 0.59 points to 27.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 0.40% or 0.14 points to trade at 35.07 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 0.17% or 0.04 points to end at 23.83 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 0.14% or 0.05 points to 36.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 91 to 40 and 24 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.41% or 0.21 to $50.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.80% or 0.38 to hit $47.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.21 to trade at $1277.49 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.1692, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.9103.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 93.99.
