Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which rose 2.62% or 1.70 points to trade at 66.55 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 2.17% or 0.55 points to end at 25.85 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.17% or 1.16 points to 54.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 2.99% or 0.43 points to trade at 13.97 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) declined 0.93% or 0.07 points to end at 7.27 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was down 0.93% or 0.32 points to 34.04.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 85 to 82 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) fell to 52-week lows; down 0.93% or 0.07 to 7.27.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 2.56% or 1.84 to $73.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.88% or 1.96 to hit $70.06 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 12.81 to trade at $2,671.31 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 106.21.
