Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 5.40% or 0.47 points to trade at 9.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 4.24% or 2.70 points to end at 66.45 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) was up 4.17% or 2.80 points to 69.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which fell 2.20% or 0.90 points to trade at 40.10 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 1.09% or 0.48 points to end at 43.50 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 0.69% or 0.03 points to 4.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 68 and 21 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.29% or 0.22 to $75.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.24% or 0.17 to hit $71.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.00% or 26.80 to trade at $2,703.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.59% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.62% at 104.34.
