Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 3.55% or 0.30 points to trade at 8.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.02% or 0.07 points to end at 3.28 and Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) was up 1.98% or 0.48 points to 24.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 1.17% or 0.55 points to trade at 46.54 at the close. Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) declined 0.77% or 0.08 points to end at 10.36 and Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) was down 0.40% or 0.02 points to 4.24.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 108 to 58 and 22 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.33% or 0.97 to $73.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.62% or 1.12 to hit $70.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 17.20 to trade at $2,591.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 100.62.
