Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 4.12% or 0.2320 points to trade at 5.8620 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 2.93% or 1.22 points to end at 42.90 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 2.89% or 0.93 points to 33.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 1.03% or 0.38 points to trade at 36.62 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 0.61% or 0.050 points to end at 8.100 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was down 0.39% or 0.14 points to 35.83.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 89 to 59 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.91% or 0.67 to $74.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.30% or 0.21 to hit $69.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.30 to trade at $1220.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1593, while EUR/GBP rose 0.30% to 0.8952.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 95.00.
