Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.79% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which rose 4.75% or 1.23 points to trade at 27.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 3.40% or 0.200 points to end at 6.090 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 1.92% or 0.72 points to 38.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which fell 2.40% or 0.39 points to trade at 15.89 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 1.57% or 0.105 points to end at 6.570 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 0.89% or 0.20 points to 22.32.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 72 to 57 and 27 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.50% or 0.28 to $55.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.24% or 0.12 to hit $50.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.36 to trade at $1276.16 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1754, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8875.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 93.39.
