Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 3.28% or 0.47 points to trade at 14.97 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 2.46% or 0.48 points to end at 19.99 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 1.82% or 0.36 points to 20.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 1.41% or 0.41 points to trade at 28.57 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.15% or 0.0450 points to end at 3.8590 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was down 0.58% or 0.046 points to 7.931.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 88 to 66 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 2.56% or 1.53 to $61.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.60% or 1.35 to hit $53.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 4.85 to trade at $1307.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1425, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.8702.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 95.498.
