Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.26% or 0.270 points to trade at 6.610 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 2.89% or 1.42 points to end at 50.50 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 1.90% or 1.10 points to 59.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which fell 1.54% or 0.062 points to trade at 3.966 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 0.71% or 0.16 points to end at 22.24 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was down 0.62% or 0.23 points to 37.12.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 75 to 57 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.90% or 1.10 to 59.00.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.38% or 0.21 to $55.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.40% or 0.20 to hit $50.24 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.07% or 14.12 to trade at $1311.08 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1930, while EUR/GBP rose 0.67% to 0.8850.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 91.89.
