Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which rose 16.47% or 12.65 points to trade at 89.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 4.31% or 1.88 points to end at 45.50 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 2.11% or 0.91 points to 43.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which fell 1.76% or 0.17 points to trade at 9.49 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 0.88% or 0.08 points to end at 8.52 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) was down 0.85% or 0.07 points to 7.98.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 83 to 79 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) rose to 52-week highs; up 16.47% or 12.65 to 89.45.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.43% or 0.34 to $78.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.85% or 0.64 to hit $75.87 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.06% or 25.85 to trade at $2,458.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.46% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 103.05.
