Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which rose 2.96% or 0.17 points to trade at 5.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.78% or 0.1060 points to end at 3.9180 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 2.66% or 2.10 points to 81.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which fell 3.65% or 1.62 points to trade at 42.73 at the close. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 1.23% or 0.2300 points to end at 18.4800 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 1.06% or 0.21 points to 19.58.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 92 to 61 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.66% or 2.10 to 81.02.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.25% or 0.15 to $61.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.14% or 0.60 to hit $53.22 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.45 to trade at $1279.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.72% to 1.1299, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8679.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 96.322.
