Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Utilities and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.35% or 0.1200 points to trade at 5.2340 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 1.98% or 0.160 points to end at 8.235 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 1.78% or 0.58 points to 33.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 1.03% or 0.32 points to trade at 30.72 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 0.57% or 0.21 points to end at 36.92 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was down 0.53% or 0.03 points to 5.58.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 85 to 57 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.62% or 0.45 to $72.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.01% or 0.66 to hit $66.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1196.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.45% to 1.1534, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8965.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 95.40.
