Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 3.22% or 1.04 points to trade at 33.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 1.88% or 0.075 points to end at 4.068 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 1.78% or 0.48 points to 27.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which fell 1.74% or 0.61 points to trade at 34.54 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) declined 1.02% or 0.37 points to end at 35.80 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was down 0.84% or 0.25 points to 29.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 81 to 65 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.78% or 0.48 to 27.45.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 2.85% or 2.15 to $77.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.53% or 1.69 to hit $68.42 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.40 to trade at $1301.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.04% to 1.1656, while EUR/GBP rose 0.80% to 0.8777.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.77% at 94.08.
