Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 2.36% or 0.33 points to trade at 14.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 1.74% or 0.14 points to end at 8.30 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was up 1.51% or 0.16 points to 10.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 0.64% or 0.29 points to trade at 45.08 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 0.42% or 0.18 points to end at 43.18 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 0.41% or 0.07 points to 16.99.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 101 to 71 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.15% or 0.11 to $72.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $68.78 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.89 to trade at $2,665.69 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 106.14.
