Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 1.94% or 0.95 points to trade at 49.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 1.81% or 0.19 points to end at 10.97 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 1.67% or 0.68 points to 41.31 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 2.93% or 0.47 points to trade at 15.59 at the close. Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) declined 1.71% or 0.36 points to end at 20.74 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was down 1.26% or 0.18 points to 14.11.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 70 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.93% or 0.47 to 15.59.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 2.52% or 1.78 to $72.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.97% or 2.00 to hit $69.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.54% or 39.25 to trade at $2,581.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 101.52.
