Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 5.13% or 0.590 points to trade at 12.090 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 3.43% or 0.89 points to end at 26.83 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.89% or 1.52 points to 81.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which fell 10.10% or 0.58 points to trade at 5.21 at the close. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 4.04% or 0.7000 points to end at 16.6100 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 2.44% or 0.132 points to 5.268.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 81 to 66 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; up 1.89% or 1.52 to 81.82.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.57% or 0.36 to $62.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.79% or 0.99 to hit $54.27 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.95 to trade at $1318.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1436, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8761.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 95.562.
