Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES), which rose 2.59% or 0.22 points to trade at 8.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 2.46% or 0.10 points to end at 4.08 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 1.23% or 0.12 points to 9.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 2.37% or 0.08 points to trade at 3.41 at the close. Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) declined 0.62% or 0.07 points to end at 10.38 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) was down 0.57% or 0.06 points to 9.61.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 109 to 60 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.46% or 0.10 to 4.08.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.60% or 0.46 to $76.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.35% or 0.26 to hit $73.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 3.00 to trade at $2,632.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 102.61.
