Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 1.70% or 0.250 points to trade at 14.920 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 1.45% or 0.130 points to end at 9.095 and DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) was up 1.39% or 0.2500 points to 18.1900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 4.04% or 1.50 points to trade at 35.60 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 0.66% or 0.12 points to end at 18.16 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 0.61% or 0.0320 points to 5.2020.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 77 to 59 and 26 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 2.82% or 2.05 to $74.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.16% or 2.08 to hit $67.92 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.60 to trade at $1202.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1592, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.8977.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 95.04.
