Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 2.80% or 0.395 points to trade at 14.505 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 1.95% or 0.140 points to end at 7.325 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 1.73% or 0.78 points to 45.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 0.99% or 0.047 points to trade at 4.706 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 0.52% or 0.14 points to end at 26.63 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 0.34% or 0.14 points to 40.98.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 91 to 51 and 11 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $65.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.37% or 0.23 to hit $62.34 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.32% or 17.40 to trade at $1337.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.54% to 1.2403, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8932.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 89.58.
