Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.43% or 0.25 points to trade at 17.78 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 1.38% or 0.20 points to end at 14.31 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 1.09% or 0.14 points to 12.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which fell 1.00% or 0.80 points to trade at 78.95 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 0.89% or 0.40 points to end at 44.74 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) was down 0.71% or 0.06 points to 7.82.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 85 to 78 and 24 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.18% or 0.16 to $87.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.08% or 0.07 to hit $83.95 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 4.05 to trade at $2,365.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 104.81.
