Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.47% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 2.08% or 0.77 points to trade at 37.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 1.64% or 0.095 points to end at 5.890 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 1.46% or 0.50 points to 34.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which fell 2.10% or 0.35 points to trade at 16.28 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 0.66% or 0.26 points to end at 39.00 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was down 0.47% or 0.25 points to 52.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 82 to 60 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.13% or 0.64 to $56.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.17% or 1.12 to hit $50.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 6.51 to trade at $1278.29 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.64% to 1.1742, while EUR/GBP rose 0.37% to 0.8852.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 93.42.
