Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.47% or 0.10 points to trade at 4.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) added 1.79% or 0.19 points to end at 11.10 and TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) was up 1.34% or 0.23 points to 17.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 2.33% or 0.32 points to trade at 13.22 at the close. Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) declined 2.21% or 0.22 points to end at 9.51 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 0.92% or 0.46 points to 49.54.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 86 to 83 and 21 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.01% or 0.01 to $72.32 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $68.52 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.67% or 18.01 to trade at $2,658.19 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.59% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 105.84.
