Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO), which rose 2.65% or 0.48 points to trade at 18.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) added 1.96% or 0.20 points to end at 10.42 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) was up 1.69% or 0.13 points to 7.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 0.93% or 0.16 points to trade at 16.51 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 0.69% or 0.22 points to end at 31.48 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 0.65% or 0.02 points to 3.62.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 63 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) fell to 5-year lows; losing 0.93% or 0.16 to 16.51.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.39% or 0.33 to $85.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.51% or 0.42 to hit $82.52 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.80% or 42.85 to trade at $2,422.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 104.09.
