Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which rose 2.52% or 0.24 points to trade at 9.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 2.15% or 0.39 points to end at 18.26 and TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) was up 1.73% or 0.31 points to 18.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 2.75% or 0.09 points to trade at 3.33 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.35% or 0.20 points to end at 14.30 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was down 0.42% or 0.07 points to 16.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 90 to 72 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.75% or 0.09 to 3.33.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.60% or 0.51 to $84.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.70% or 0.57 to hit $81.47 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.07% or 24.65 to trade at $2,337.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 105.56.
