Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 2.88% or 0.405 points to trade at 14.485 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 1.65% or 0.130 points to end at 7.990 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 1.53% or 0.063 points to 4.186 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 1.82% or 0.68 points to trade at 36.73 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 1.03% or 0.06 points to end at 5.78 and DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) was down 0.94% or 0.1600 points to 16.9100.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 85 to 47 and 28 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.23% or 0.17 to $73.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.83% or 0.57 to hit $68.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.20 to trade at $1224.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1590, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8903.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 94.89.
